I loved some of the transformations when they perform cause it was cool and comical at the same time, but pretty well done.

I was just like what in the hell did the director tell these guys to do, but one of the plus sides of the film is when the band shows up and they perform because that is where the real fun begins and they have the legendary Carmine Appice playing drums for the band which makes them pretty legit.
There’s a lot of characters that you wonder just what in the f*** they are doing in the film. In fact most of the cast seems to old to be playing the roles that they have in this film which is kind of the comedic side of the film. Some of the interactions in this film are just plain corny like one of the was clearly a guy in his late 30’s trying to pose as a teenager and it seems like he forgot what it was like to be a teenager in the first place. Miller, Carmine Appice as Vinny Apache, and Paul Kelman (My Bloody Valentine) as Julie’s Stepdad. The film stars John Martin (El Norte) as Matthew Moorhouse, Ken Swofford (The Andromeda Strain) as Mayor Farnsworth, Sal Viviano (The Jitters) as Damian, Frank Dietz (Tales Of Halloween) as Johnny, Carla Ferrigno (The Adventures Of Hercules) as Priscilla Farnsworth, Tony Bua (Zombie Nightmare) as Tony, Julie Adams (The Creature From The Black Lagoon) as Mrs. What the parents don’t realize is that their hunch about the band and Satanism was on the money as these demons posing as rock stars are trying to possess the town. So for this year, we decided to check out the 1988 film Black Roses which was written and directed by John Fasano (Another 48 Hrs) and is the tale of a small town who is being paid a visit by one of the most controversial bands in Black Roses who are preparing to perform in the town for four nights. That is the reason we love both these genres because their anti-society in a way and we are all freaks, but what is even better is when you mix the two like 1987’s Trick Or Treat which we checked out last year. They go together well because both are bastard sons of their respective field and I say that with the upmost respect because Heavy Metal doesn’t get it’s fair shake at the Grammy’s or the rock and roll hall of fame much like you’ll never see a horror film take home an Oscar for Best Feature Film or have a category of it’s own there. One thing that I always thought that went together was horror movies and Heavy Metal music.
